The New Mugler Cologne Range: “Take Me Out” Review

The campaign

We were amazed when discovering the campaign for the new Cologne range by Mugler. No models nor photographs, but pop and colourful illustrations by Ugo Bienvenu. You can discover more about it here. The result is playful, powerful and modern, and we really like it.

There are 5 new variations of the cologne, in 5 different colours. They were inspired by the first Cologne by Mugler, launched in 2001, and are all inspired by freedom. What we found really interesting is that it is encouraged to mix them with one another and find a scent that is personal to you. The message of the campaign is centered on possibilities and sensations, and encourages us to be our best selves, which we found really innovative.

The scent: Take Me Out

Take Me Out is a floral cologne, with notes of orange blossom and shiso leaf. I have already talked about my inclination for scents that contain a touch of citrus fruits on this blog before, and that’s probably why I was attracted to this perfume in the first place. This eau de toilette is labelled as “energizing” and that’s something we felt too, as it is a very fresh and had a sunny scent.

Why we love it

Both Nicolas and I have worn it several times and we both think it is a very versatile scent, that suits women and men equally. I now feel a particular atttachement to it, because I associate it with our express trip to Paris Fashion Week (article here), as it was one of the first times I wore it. You know how particular scents and smells become inextricably associated with events and periods of your life? A bit like the famous “Madeleine de Proust”, Take Me Out has become a scent that will always remind me of the adrenalin of my first Fashion Week experience (it was a dream of mine to attend this event) and corroborates the impression of energy that the scent gives me.

Therefore, the scent is now part of my personal history, and this resonates perfectly with the Take Me Out slogan, which is “Dream big or go home”.


La campagne

Nous avons été surpris par la campagne pour la nouvelle gamme Cologne de Mugler. Pas de modèles ni de photos, mais des illustrations pop et colorées d’Ugo Bienvenu. Pour en savoir plus, cliquez ici. Le résultat est ludique, percutant et moderne, et nous aimons beaucoup.

5 nouvelles variantes de l’eau de Cologne ont été lancées, en 5 couleurs différentes. Elles sont inspirées de la première Cologne de Mugler, lancée en 2001, et sont tous inspirés par la liberté. Ce que nous avons trouvé très intéressant, c’est que l’il est encouragé de mélanger les colognes les unes avec les autres et de trouver ainsi un parfum qui vous est personnel. Le message de la campagne est centré sur les possibilités et les sensations, et encourage chacun de nous à atteindre le meilleur de soi, ce que nous avons trouvé vraiment innovant.

L’eau de toilette: Take Me Out

Take me out est une cologne florale, aux notes de fleur d’oranger et de feuille de shiso. J’ai fait mention sur le blog de mon penchant pour les parfum contenant des notes d’agrumes, et c’est probablement pour cette raison que j’ai été attirée vers cette eau de toilette au premier abord. Cette eau de toilette est labellée comme étant “énergisante”, et c’est un sentiment que nous partageons, étant donné qu’il s’agit d’une fragrance très fraîche et ensoleillée.

C’est un coup de cœur parce que

Nicolas et moi l’avons portée tous les deux plusieurs fois et nous sommes tous deux convaincus que c’est un parfum très versatile, qui convient aussi bien aux hommes qu’aux femmes. Je ressens maintenant un attachement particulier envers cette eau de toilette, car je l’associe avec notre voyage express à Paris pour la Fashion Week, comme il s’agit d’une des premières fois où j’ai porté cette cologne. Vous savez, comme des parfums et odeurs particuliers finissent par être inextricablement attachés à des événements et à des périodes de votre vie? Un peu à la manière de la “Madeleine de Proust”, Take me out est devenu la fragrance qui me rappellera toujours l’adrénaline de ma première expérience Fashion Week (c’était pour moi un rêve de pouvoir participer à cet événement!) et corrobore ainsi l’impression d’énergie donnée par l’eau de toilette.

Ainsi, j’ai tout à fait adopté cette fragrance et elle fait partie intégrante de mon histoire personnelle, ce qui résonne justement parfaitement avec le slogan de Take me out, qui est “Dream big or go home” [Pas de demi-mesure!].

 | After two months MIA, we are back with a review of our new @cellreturn.official Platinum LED Face Mask ✨ In short, this device had been life-changing. It truly helped with redness on my cheeks and helped us both in getting rid of occasional imperfections (they heal a lot faster and do not become highly inflammated). Regarding anti-aging, I guess we will have to wait and see on longer term (as we do not have deep wrinkles yet). But in a few years, we hope prevention will pay off. Indeed, I am not even going to class, as I validated all my courses online in June already. 🇫🇷 Ce mois de septembre, je débute ce qui sera mon dernier semestre universitaire (je l'espère 🤞🏼), mais c'est un peu spécial. En effet, je ne vais même pas en classe, comme j'ai déjà validé tous mes cours en ligne en juin. Donc cela fait un moment que je passe mes journées en tête-à-tête avec mon mémoire 💻 Je devrais bientôt avoir terminé, et je ne peux m'empêcher d'être un peu triste, ou plus précisément déjà un peu nostalgique. C'est la fin d'une ère. Mais aussi le début d'un nouveau chapitre dont je me réjouis beaucoup 💭
