In the Aftermath of My 24th Birthday

This is my first serious Spring look of 2018: I finally dropped the layers, the big coat and so on. This Winter seemed endless to me, just like most of them actually… I do not particularly like this season: it’s cold, it’s grey and the whole situation often makes me grumpy haha! So I am so happy to slide towards my favourite season, during which I was born: Spring.

Just last weekend, I celebrated my birthday with my family at an Indian restaurant and with only Nicolas having a somptuous brunch at Ladurée. I turned 24 in such a perfect mood. And I got an incredible present from Nicolas that I am EAGER to share with you guys in an unboxing video very soon! Spoiler: it was from Hermès.

So now moving to the look itself: I love playing with oversized/skinny contrasts. I chose to pair these fake leather leggings from Esprit with a vintage oversized white blouse. I find it really cool to mix different textures and cuts. And also, a little word on the shoes: I realised I just loved sneakers or loafers that I don’t need to tie up, I mean, isn’t it just so practical to be able to jump into your shoes before heading to the door in the morning? Haha whatever, I happened to order these not so long ago, when I stumbled upon them on the Internet and I was like: hey, I completely forgot I loved wearing slip-ons like 10 years ago! So here I am, rocking these.

Voici mon premier look printanier sérieux: j’ai enfin laissé tomber les couches d’habits, l’énorme manteau, etc. Cet hiver m’a paru, comme tant d’autres d’ailleurs, interminable… Je n’aime pas particulièrement cette saison: il fait froid, il fait gris et le tout me rend souvent grincheuse haha! Je suis donc très contente de faire la transition vers ma saison préférée, celle durant laquelle je suis née: le printemps.

Le week-end dernier, j’ai fêté mon anniversaire avec ma famille avec un repas dans un restaurant indien et avec Nicolas à Ladurée pour un brunch somptueux. J’ai eu 24 ans dans une atmosphère simplement parfaite. De plus, j’ai reçu un cadeau incroyable de la part de Nicolas, que je suis IMPATIENTE de vous montrer dans une vidéo unboxing tout bientôt! Indice: ça venait de chez Hermès.

Maintenant pour parler du look: j’ai joué avec des effets oversized/skinny. J’ai choisi de combiner ces leggings en similicuir de chez Esprit avec une chemise oversize blanche vintage. Je trouve vraiment sympa de mélanger les textures et les coupes. Une petite remarque sur les chaussures: je me suis rendue compte que j’adorais les chaussures sans lacets. Quand même, c’est pas génial de simplement pouvoir enfiler ses chaussures en vitesse avant de partir de la maison le matin? Bref haha, j’ai commandé ces sneakers il y a peu, quand je suis tombée sur des looks streetstyle les incluant. Et là je me suis dit: hé, mais j’avais complètement oublié que j’adorais porter des slip-ons il y a genre 10 ans! Alors me voici, les remettant au goût du jour (au mien).
