Today we present to you two cosy autumn looks.

My outfit is really minimal, composed by a complete black look with an oversized shirt. As a matter of fact, a few years ago, I would never have worn a turtleneck! As for many people, it’s quite a sensitive childhood memory…
Apart from that, I chose to complement this black outfit with a blue shirt randomly at first and then I realized it gave a completely different effect. The shirt suddenly reminded me of art classes in highschool or art school when we painted and wore old shirts as protection from paint splashes. The more we painted, dirtier the shirt was and it became a kind of relique, which attested of the hours we spent creating. At the same time, the action of protection makes me think about chemistry classes when we experimented with substances. These two ideas even seem interconnected if we think about it, with the idea of experimenting, which is necessary in both precited fields.

On those pictures, I’m wearing only clothes I bought in London. My favourite one is the camel-coloured jacket. Alongside with
my scarf, I found it in a shop selling old, used clothes (in one word, vintage).
This gives some history to what I’m wearing. And even if I don’t know exactly what those clothes have gone through and which places they have visited (assuming clothes can visit places), knowing they lived gives them a higher worth for me.

The rest I’m wearing is all new. I particularly like the socks, they make my day more colourful. And as we’re slowly but surely approaching winter, I couldn’t resist buying this nice grey, knitted vest. It’s heavy and keeps you warm when you need it (especially in Switzerland, brrrr).
